Fairlie Restorations
Through a shared passion for classic vessels, SANDEMAN YACHT COMPANY is delighted to be working closely with FAIRLIE RESTORATIONS on a variety of projects. These embrace promoting the brand new SUNDOWNER day sailer, their range of modern but traditional cruising yachts, the exciting concept of re creating classics from the FIFE design archives as well as the restoration and refit of existing classic yachts.
Sundowner; a performance day sailer designed by Paul Spooner is a superb example of "performance art" which embodies strict design criteria to create a yacht of character and style quite unlike any other.
Custodians of William Fife Jr's design archive containing over 600 yachts from under 10 mtrs up to 43 mtrs and with their appropriate skills and knowledge, Fairlie are extraordinarily qualified to re create such yachts.
Moving on from the landmark restoration of the 1931 Fife schooner ALTAIR, Fairlie rebuilt a large 1909 15m Class racing yacht whose sister ship had been owned by the King of Spain. The result was universally acclaimed a masterpiece
